I can surely claim Sarah Atwell, a teenage girl as a real hero. She is the one who had always been bullied for her disfigurement but she never lost hope and chose a life-changing path that finally brought a smile on her face.

1. Sarah Atwell, 17, from Nova Scotia, Canada.
When Sarah was just a baby, her parents started noticing a change in her face. And so, they visited the doctor to get it checked.

2. Sarah was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis.
She was just 8 months old when doctors found Sarah to be suffering from a rare condition called neurotransmitters. This condition caused a big tumor that consumed her half of the face.
3. Many surgeries yet no huge difference.
She underwent numerous surgeries but still there wasn't any difference in her face.
4. Sarah pictured with her mother Tara.
Sarah's tumor passed through her nose to the ear on the right and made the skin hung down off of her jawbone.
5. As a result, she was bullied and abused by her schoolmates and neighbors.
Sarah couldn't handle it anymore and so she made a video that gave the message straight to the point.
6. She conquered half of her pain by making a video that hit out at her bullies.
She held a series of cards in the video reading different messages. She even mentioned that how people didn't understand about her tumor issues.
7. Positive reactions and fame in response to the video!
Her video garnered positive reactions from people. Among various messages, Dr. Steven Morris was the one who addressed that he would operate her.
8. The surgery took place and finally made Sarah smile.
Sarah was very happy to have straight lips like others. The life-changing surgery made Sarah stronger than ever.
